About The Position
HeyGen is seeking an Online Community Manager to build and grow its online communities across platforms like forums, Discord, and Reddit. This role is crucial in shaping how users connect with HeyGen and each other, focusing on creating engaging experiences that encourage participation and retention. The ideal candidate will be adept at both ideation and execution, driving community growth and fostering positive interactions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing Discord and/or Reddit communities.
- A strong understanding of what drives user engagement and participation.
- Proven track record of end-to-end community projects.
- Comfortable being active in online communities and understanding internet culture.
- Clear and thoughtful communication skills.
- Ability to balance creativity with execution.
- Proactive and self-directed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AI, creator tools, or video platforms.
- Familiarity with HeyGen or similar products.
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, etc.).
- Experience running community campaigns or events.
- Experience with Developer communities.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow HeyGen’s Discord community with a focus on daily engagement and positive interactions.
- Manage Reddit presence in a natural, helpful, and relevant manner.
- Build relationships with creators, contributors, and early advocates.
- Ensure members feel seen, heard, and excited to participate.
- Launch engagement programs such as challenges, prompts, and showcases.
- Develop recurring community moments like weekly threads, events, or creator spotlights.
- Transform product updates into community exploration and sharing opportunities.
- Create simple and effective formats for community participation.
- Manage day-to-day community activity across platforms.
- Plan and maintain a content and engagement rhythm.
- Support a safe, inclusive, and constructive community environment.
- Highlight great work from users and share their stories.
- Encourage members to create and share content.
- Identify and grow community advocates.
- Listen to community feedback, spot trends, and share insights with product and marketing teams.
- Continuously improve community engagement strategies.
