About The Position

The One to One Observer provides personal, constant observation of an assigned patient and helps maintain a safe environment with calm, positive interaction. The role supports the healthcare team and communicates with patients and their families or significant others while maintaining high standards of professional ethics. This is a full-time, on-site position at Burlington Hospital in Willingboro, working 12-hour night shifts for 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of an Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant one-to-one observation of an assigned patient, maintaining a safe environment and offering positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provide care to patients in restraints.
• Identify and communicate changes in a patient’s status to the RN and respond appropriately.
• Assist in orienting the healthcare team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
