About The Position

This position focuses on providing family-centered care, recognizing the patient or designee as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient’s preferences, values, and needs. The role involves functioning effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. It also requires integrating best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient/family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal health care. The nurse will use data to monitor outcomes and improvement methods to continuously enhance healthcare systems, minimize risks of harm, and utilize information and technology to support decision-making. Additionally, nurses are agents of change, involved in committees, professional development, and supporting organizational goals, while also being active participants in the community.

Requirements

  • RN License
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months left before expiration is required upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance.
  • Use information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
  • Act as agents of change within the organization, involved in committees, professional development, and support organizational goals, as well as, active participants in the community. Nurses support organizational goals, advance the nursing profession, and enhance professional development by extending their influence to professional and community groups.
