Intern - Oncology Research and Development
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a remote Research and Development Intern to join their Oncology Medical Team. This internship offers the opportunity to learn about clinical testing and processing, molecular techniques like Next Generation Sequencing, and assist in data analysis and writing. The intern will apply critical thinking skills to experimental results and communicate findings at laboratory meetings. The Labcorp Oncology Research and Development Department focuses on developing and validating new Oncology clinical tests across the enterprise. This specific internship will involve working with the team in San Diego, California, on developing or improving an Oncology-focused assay or testing capability.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics or Biological Science
- Previous and/or active Labcorp Internship required
Nice To Haves
- 3-6 months experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies
- Hands-on experience in a cell or molecular biology-based laboratory
- Interest in the clinical testing or molecular research fields
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new things
Responsibilities
