WCC7 - Oncology - Registered Nurse 1 or 2, Inpatient
About The Position
This position is for an Oncology Registered Nurse on the WCC7 unit, which cares for adult hematology-oncology patients throughout all phases of their care, including initial diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care. The unit offers opportunities to cultivate and strengthen general medical and surgical nursing skills, as well as become an expert in oncology care. The team is looking for nurses who can prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, and who are compassionate, team players eager to learn and teach. Requirements
- Less than one year of experience as a registered nurse.
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve in a fast-paced, high acuity environment.
- Compassionate, team player eager to learn and teach.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience.
- Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, continues to build competency in the provision of direct patient care.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
