About The Position
The clinic and infusion nurse performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.
Requirements
- ADN
- Working knowledge of oncology services
- Excellent communication skills
- BLS
- Current Alabama RN license or Current Multi State RN license in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
- Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card (ONS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or placement into position
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) must be obtained within 24 months of hire or placement into position
- ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration
Nice To Haves
- BSN/MS degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy
- ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population
