The RN provides safe, high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapies and chemotherapy treatments in an outpatient oncology setting. Nurses are required to obtain their ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification within 30 days of hire. The standard schedule consists of two 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Nurses participate in a required monthly Saturday rotation consisting of a 4-hour shift. During the week of the assigned Saturday rotation, the schedule adjusts to two 8-hour shifts and one 4-hour Saturday shift. Nurses also participate in a Sunday on-call rotation approximately every 2–3 months to support antibiotic infusion patients.
