The Oncology Field Medical Director is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise, including thoracic oncology and pipeline, across a broad range of medical customer segments and initiatives in an assigned territory (Dallas regional TX, AK, OK, NM, LA). The role involves planning and executing medical strategy, maintaining knowledge of relevant disease states and Pfizer medicines, and serving as a conduit for medical information and customer insights. The position requires delivering approved medical content, identifying and engaging with priority customer segments, and providing accurate information in response to unsolicited medical requests. Collaboration with Global Medical Affairs, R&D, and GPD is key for identifying clinical trial sites, especially those serving under-represented patient populations. The role also includes providing medical support for Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR), cultivating research and therapeutic area expertise, and demonstrating leadership in territory management and patient advocacy group engagement. Participation in cross-functional committees and representing Pfizer Medical Affairs at professional associations are also expected. Mentorship in onboarding, ad boards, and study leadership is part of the role, along with participation in special projects.
