Sodexo Live! is currently accepting applications for Oncall Linen Room Attendant at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida The Oncall Linen Room Attendant is responsible for providing clean, organized, and readily available linen for Sodexo Live! food service staff. This role requires strict adherence to workplace safety procedures and established guidelines for linen pickup, distribution, and inventory control.
Requirements
- Deliver stocked and requested linen to designated areas.
- Pick up and transport soiled linen.
- Count and track linen entering and exiting the building.
- Maintain accurate records of all black linen distributed and returned, including delivery locations.
- Fulfill linen requests for Banquets and County departments.
- Perform building sweeps to collect any misplaced or scattered linen.
- Ensure linen areas and back dock are clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Deliver chef uniforms to kitchens as needed.
- Submit all linen-related invoices to Accounting daily.
- Communicate effectively with all staff members.
- Assist with annual smallwares inventory.
- Pallet jack operation
- Tug vehicle operation
- Proper lifting techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Flexible availability to meet operational needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended or irregular hours.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills .
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and grasping.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry items approximately 20 feet.
- Ability to walk approximately one-quarter (¼) mile and the circumference of the facility multiple times per day.
- NOTE: Other requirements will be discussed during the interview .
- Interested applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background screening.
