About The Position

Sun River Health is seeking an Onboarding Verification Specialist to complete in-house background checks for all new hires. This role is crucial for ensuring that all pre-employment requirements are met, maintaining an efficient and compliant onboarding process. The specialist will collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Onboarding teams, communicate with new hires, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position acts as a liaison to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience and resolve any issues that arise during the background check process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in onboarding, human resources, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of verification processes and healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive background checks for all new hires, including verification of employment history, education and criminal records
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding teams to ensure timely completion of background checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Communicate with new hires to gather necessary documentation and provide updates on the status of their background checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all background check processes and results.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding background checks and employment verification.
  • Act as a liaison between new hires and various departments to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies found during the background check process and work with the appropriate parties to resolve them.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
