About The Position

Marquis Commercial Solutions, a commercial cleaning company in Central Indiana, is seeking an Onboarding & Quality Assurance Supervisor to support the successful startup of new commercial accounts and improve service quality at existing accounts. The primary goal of this role is to establish strong processes, properly train employees, and ensure accounts are operating successfully before transitioning responsibility to the permanent operations team. This position requires flexibility to move between accounts based on operational needs and strong training, dependability, and attention to detail to set the example for Marquis standards. Success will be measured by the ability to launch accounts successfully, develop properly trained teams, improve struggling accounts, and create sustainable processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
  • Capable of using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers
  • Medical Office Buildings require additional training and vaccinations at no cost to the employee
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required by the client)
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, and any other task assigned by the manager
  • Dust and wipe down furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, and other surfaces
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
  • Empty trash cans around the building and dispose of waste in a safe and proper manner
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
  • Maintain cleanliness of entrance and exit areas, including sweeping walkways and removing debris
  • Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used in accordance with safety guidelines and company policies
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Regional Manager
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure the building is kept safe from hazards such as slippery floors or blocked exit routes
  • Verify that the team is maintaining the Janitor's space in a neat and clean condition and maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition
  • Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and/or duties as directed by management
  • Take an active role in the startup of new accounts.
  • Assist with the initial setup and organization of the account.
  • Learn the scope of work, building requirements, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Train newly assigned associates and supervisors on proper procedures and expectations.
  • Work alongside new employees until they are properly trained and able to perform their responsibilities independently.
  • Help establish cleaning routines, inspection processes, equipment, supplies, and account-specific procedures.
  • Remain involved until the account is fully staffed and the established processes have been successfully implemented.
  • Assist with the transition of the account to the assigned Regional Manager/Supervisor.
  • Providing hands-on retraining and coaching.
  • Identifying areas where processes or cleaning procedures need improvement.
  • Reinforcing company and client expectations.
  • Supporting accounts experiencing staffing, training, or quality challenges.
  • Working alongside existing teams to improve consistency and overall service quality.
  • Helping stabilize accounts before returning to normal operations.
  • Assist the Floor Care Team when additional support is needed.
  • Perform floor care duties when properly trained and assigned.
  • Provide coverage for employee call-offs as a last resort when other reasonable coverage options have been exhausted.
