About The Position

FiduciaryxChange, by AmericanTCS, provides complete Fiduciary governance to inspire participants to save for a dignified retirement. Defining a retirement plan standard of excellence. The Onboarding Document Specialist is responsible for the drafting, amendment, and maintenance of tax-qualified retirement plan documents (401(k), 403(b), Profit Sharing, and Defined Benefit). This role ensures that all plan instruments are compliant with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and recent legislative mandates such as SECURE 2.0. You will serve as the bridge between legal requirements and operational execution.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of qualified plan experience
• ERISA Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations governing qualified plans.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with document generation software (e.g., FTW).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot a missing "check-box" in an Adoption Agreement that could lead to a compliance failure.
• Analytical Writing: Ability to translate complex tax code into "plain English" for Summary Plan Descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Document Drafting & Restatement: Prepare customized Basic Plan Documents, Adoption Agreements, and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
• Lead the execution of "Cycle" restatements as mandated by the IRS.
• Legislative Implementation: Monitor and integrate new regulations (e.g., mandatory auto-enrollment, long-term part-time employee rules, and emergency savings accounts) into existing plan shells.
• Amendment Management: Oversee timely discretionary and required amendments.
• Track "Good Faith" amendments to ensure plans remain qualified during transition periods.
• Technical Consulting: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for FxC Compliance Managers regarding plan design features like QJSAs, safe harbor provisions, and vesting schedules.
• Compliance Auditing: Review existing documents to evaluate operational realities match the plan document provisions.
• Document Drafting & Restatement: Prepare PEP Basic Plan Documents, Adoption Agreements, and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
• Lead the execution of "Cycle" restatements as mandated by the IRS.
• Legislative Implementation: Monitor and integrate new regulations (e.g., mandatory auto-enrollment, long-term part-time employee rules, and emergency savings accounts) into existing plan shells.
