About The Position

The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is responsible for executing all onboarding related activities for new team members and transfers for the system. This includes processing in-seat promotions, demotions, lateral moves, and additional jobs for team members. The role ensures a positive onboarding experience and serves as a point of continued support for new team members through their first year of hire, helping them acclimate to the health system and fostering a sense of belonging.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relatable experience required.
  • 2 years of experience in one of the following roles: Onboarding Specialist, Recruiting Specialist, Staffing Specialist, or Talent Acquisition Specialist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to sense environments and people in need of support.
  • Knowledge of personnel procedures and policies.
  • Detailed oriented and client focused.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to take initiative and complete assignments against deadlines.
  • Communicates information and ideas clearly and articulately both in written and verbal form. Ability to adapt communication style and methods based on audience and purpose of communication.
  • Prioritizes workload and tasks appropriately and ensure most critical are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills, with intentions to help and support needs of people and the business.

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Building relationships with new and existing employees throughout the pre-employment and transfer onboarding process.
  • Mentoring candidates through the onboarding process, communicating next steps and timelines to ensure timely validation of qualifications.
  • Communicating candidate status to key stakeholders such as hiring managers, recruiters, learning and development, and other departments.
  • Managing all pre-employment background checks, including those required by company or regulatory authorities.
  • Partnering with affiliations to schedule pre-employment health appointments for new team members.
  • Supporting new team members through their first year of employment.
  • Creating an environment of engagement and belonging for new team members.
  • Communicating leader-identified issues related to new team members' experience.
  • Collecting and documenting new team member feedback and sharing it with appropriate parties.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
