About The Position

The On-Site Project Manager coordinates equipment installation projects at customer sites. The role requires strong mechanical and/or electrical/controls aptitude and in-depth knowledge of prints and schematics; advanced skills in metal cutting technology are a plus. The position may require periodic travel during machine installations, mostly domestic and some international, with direct customer interaction. The manager maintains positive customer relationships and leads GROB technicians.

Requirements

Associate’s degree preferred in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology, or relevant experience in the machine tool industry.
Understanding of drawings, schematics, and troubleshooting.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

Advanced skills in metal cutting technology.
Previous CNC machining experience.

Responsibilities

Support the realization of new projects.
Coordinate installation activities for equipment delivered from the GROB Group.
Direct and assist customers with equipment installation, start-up, and operation.
Set up and track project budgets.
Provide offsite team leadership at customer sites.
Facilitate closure of open issues and site acceptance tests.
