About The Position

Technical specialist and regular customer support contact to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to Cummins products at a single customer’s site. We are looking for a talented On-Site Resident Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Mesa, AZ). This will be working at customer location. Will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop, Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles, Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products, Maintain own tools.

Requirements

• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
• Basic level field service work experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
• Customer service experience

Nice To Haves

• DOT Preferred.
• Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)

Responsibilities

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
