About The Position

This position supports the center operations management team in conducting driver training and the completion of training related documentation. This position focuses on reviewing driver methods, area trace, and loop dispatch. They will report directly to the center On-Road Supervisors. Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform prescribed safety and methods
  • Must be able to perform a complete DOT Pre-Trip Evaluation
  • Successfully complete 9 Week On-Road Training Program
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

Responsibilities

  • Supports training during New Service Provider On-Boarding, including training in the areas of safety, service, and delivery methods.
  • Assists in re-training current service providers on their job responsibilities, including safety, service, and delivery methods.
  • Documents and reports to the On-Road Supervisor details of training and instruction given to service providers. If a service provider refuses to work as directed, the Training Specialist will contact the On-Road Supervisor to provide instruction, discipline, and/or corrective action.
  • Ensures job setup, DOL trace, and dispatch are correct when riding with service providers. Recommends and refers areas of improvement to Package Dispatch Supervisor before and after each ride.
  • Completes required documentation on the adherence to safety training, delivery methods, and compliance programs.
  • Monitors service provider improvements. If results are not sustained, this position informs the On-Road Supervisor who will address with the service provider. The Training Specialist will not participate in any conversation with service providers that is about, or could lead to, service provider discipline.
  • Assist the center teams in monitoring and conducting recurrent training.
  • Interacts daily with service providers, center management, and customers.
  • Works directly with union and non-union employees.
