About The Position

This position will develop and maintain a positive company image and will use proven sales tools and techniques to achieve team sales quotas in assigned accounts. The role involves developing, promoting, and participating in on-premise promotions. Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. is the third largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in Texas and one of the largest overall beer distributors in the nation. The responsibilities include taking inventory at assigned accounts, making recommendations for product needs to maintain properly stocked inventory levels, and selling in displays, new products and packages, draught placements, shelf facings, POS, and price points. The role requires following and enforcing Anheuser Busch equity agreement and other supplier contract Code Date policies. Merchandising at each account is crucial to ensure proper code dates, restocking to avoid out-of-stock situations, making minor legal space adjustments, building displays, installing, placing, and providing P.O.S. and pricing product as allowed by retailers. Effective communication with Drivers and Merchandisers is necessary to ensure sales closure, maintain good customer relations, and maintain a competitive edge to maximize sales. Administrative duties include verifying Sales Reps truck inventory, Mobility route book entries, and timely syncing as specified by the company. The role also involves notifying the Area Sales Manager of pertinent changes in the retail trade, including file maintenance, license updates, route scheduling, competitive activity, and other management requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years sales and marketing experience required.
  • Must have a cell phone with data capability.
  • Must handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.
  • Must be able to push 300 lb dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Driving record within MVR policy guidelines (No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving).
  • Must obtain a Class A-CDL.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
