Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous sales experience is preferred but not required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have clean driving record.
  • This position requires the Sales Representative to be detail oriented, quality focused, self-motivated, and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • The Sales Representative must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced DSD distribution environment; and the flexibility to work long hours beyond standard requirements as needed.
  • The Sales Representative must be at least 21 years of age to work at Heart of America Beverage

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and rapport with customers and store personnel, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining localized customer relations.
  • Continually monitor customer inventory for proper levels.
  • Present and sell new products and pending promotions to current customers and potential new customers.
  • Build in-store displays and maintain accounts with POS
  • Plan and coordinate on-premise promotions within accounts
  • Maintain best in class product placement—filling walk-in and stand-alone coolers and dry shelves with product, ensuring proper product rotation is maintained at all times, and that all back-stock areas are clean and organized.
  • Call on key accounts on an ongoing basis to review in-store priorities.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals.
  • Follow up on new leads for future calls resulting from field activity.
  • Educate client on pricing compared to their competitors and like products.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Record sales calls on required paperwork.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
