About The Position

Campari Group is a major player in the global branded spirits industry with a portfolio of over 50 premium and super premium brands. Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Campari Group owns 25 plants worldwide and has its own distribution network in 26 countries, employing approximately 4,700 people. The On Premise Channel Specialist is responsible for driving volume growth, awareness, distribution, and visibility across assigned key brands and accounts in New York. This role focuses on key account territory management, relationship building, selling, and coordinating distributor activities. The mission is to drive visibility and distribution of the Campari portfolio in the On Premise channel.

Requirements

1 to 3 years of experience in on premise alcoholic beverage sales
Experience working in a three-tier distribution market
Current and effective in market on premise channel relationship and marketing understanding
Proficient in KARMA, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
Ability to travel within assigned territory – generally 3-5 days per week, and able to work weekends and extended workdays – generally 3-5 nights per week visiting accounts
Drive to various locations in assigned area to visit 5-7 accounts per day
Deliver on premise account development and programming activities in market/key accounts
Make in person presentations – communicating verbally information and opportunities within key accounts and assigned geography
Must have a motor vehicle that is insured and possess a valid driver's license
Picking up Point of Sale (POS) materials from distributor and delivering to accounts
Traveling to and from salesforce meetings or field locations
Sound understanding of in market selling skills in the on premise channel
Ability to develop creative brand building programs that drive volume and share growth in key accounts
Strong account management and follow-up skills
Business financials and experience in managing to a budget
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Familiarity with product sales – ability to develop compelling selling stories to grow distribution and volume sales
Ability to manage multiple priorities and experience in working with a multi-brand portfolio
Results oriented; thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently
Organizational and planning skills
Able to work effectively with teams – driving results through others

Responsibilities

Target top on premise key accounts, drive distribution and usage of the Campari portfolio, and develop direct relationships with those key accounts.
Expand Campari brand visibility within the on premise channel through menu lists, drink features, and special events within the assigned account list/market.
Develop programs for assigned key accounts to achieve brand presence via menu listing, features, back bar placements, and increased profitable growth.
Follow up with key accounts to ensure activations are executed as planned.
Provide general reporting of account opportunities, programs, and KPIs (KARMA Management).
Coordinate with local Campari and Distributor management teams as needed to ensure maximum efficiency.
Conduct wait staff training and develop incentive programs on a regular basis to ensure that all Campari brands are on the forefront of the staff's mind within targeted on premise accounts.
Work in conjunction with Campari's Field Marketing Management Team to assist with the planning and execution of creative, local events that increase the presence and visibility of all brands within the target market.
Provide input and feedback to KARMA to support planning and development of the tactical budgets for the upcoming year.
Schedule tasting events, and menu and cocktail creations in assigned key accounts.
Monitor and report competitive supplier, or other volume increasing activity, in assigned key accounts as a means to improve future Campari brand promotions/strategy in the on premise channel and key accounts.
Work with distributor mixologists on market and brand specific cocktails that drive usage and visibility.
Coordinate the execution of orders and agreed to programs in assigned key accounts following the blueprint developed by Campari's Field Marketing Management team and in conjunction with the Distributor Sales teams.
Work with key on premise sales representatives from the distributor network to drive distribution, awareness, and trial for priority brands in assigned key accounts.
Conduct periodic meetings with key distributor on premise sales teams to educate and inform about Campari programs and initiatives.
