Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a On-Premise Sales Relief Representative. The Sales Relief Representative supports on-premise sales representatives with merchandising and runs sales routes when sales representatives are unavailable assisting with inventory management, submitting sales orders, answering questions about pricing and conducting surveys.

  • Maintains basic knowledge of product portfolio and promotions - including wine, spirts and/or beer
  • Knowledge of supplier quality assurance standards
  • Basic eoStar knowledge, conduct inventory, navigate pricing, deal structures and submit orders
  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in related field (distribution, hospitality, supplier or beverage industry) is required
  • May need to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance is required
  • Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salespersons permit
  • Required to be at least 18 years of age
  • Schedule flexibility, work hours may require early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
  • Live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Keeps up to date on customer credit status and is responsible for money collections on outstanding invoices.
  • Monitors and assists customers with inventory management (product availability, new product placement, stock rotation, seasonal changes, promotions, sales trends)
  • Introduces and sells new brands and packages
  • Conducts and tracks supplier surveys
  • Places and delivers hot shot orders to customer premises
  • Maintains basic knowledge of product portfolio and promotions - wine, spirit and/or beer
  • Participates actively in sales meetings and on-site trainings
  • Interacts respectfully and maintains communication with team members inter-company departments (merchandisers and delivery drivers)
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with on and/or off-premise accounts; proactively establishes contact and respectfully interacts with customers
  • Communicates and maintains pricing and programming information
  • Learns area routes and runs sales routes when sales representatives are unavailable. Assists with inventory management, submits sales orders, answers questions about pricing and conducts surveys
  • Works on special projects, merchandises and works with other sales representative when route coverage is not needed
  • Coordinates coverage of vacation schedule for sales representatives
  • Follows quality assurance standards, monitors product codes and maintains ongoing product rotation on all date sensitive products
  • Suggests, utilizes, creates, places new and existing point of sale materials including menu cards and permanent signage
