About The Position

The Virginia Lottery is seeking an On-Premise Sales Consultant to grow, sell, and market lottery products to social establishment retailers, including restaurants, bars, and taverns, in areas such as Winchester, Lexington, Charlottesville, and Harrisonburg. The role involves recruiting and developing retailers, managing a territory, training retailers, ordering Scratchers using a tablet, managing inventory, merchandising, and implementing and monitoring retailer incentive and promotional programs. Performance is evaluated based on retailer recruitment, sales achievement, and other performance factors.

The successful candidate must be willing to live within 50 miles of the geographic area's business center. The position regularly requires evening and weekend work, with occasional 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge in implementing sales, marketing, and merchandising programs; inventory management; in-field or route sales in consumer products; training; customer relations and development; new product introduction; territory management; and use of automated ordering devices or computers.
• Willingness to live within 50 miles of the geographic area's business center.
• A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
