On-Premise Sales Consultant
About The Position
For more than 35 years, the Virginia Lottery has been building an amazing organization committed to growth and giving back – and having fun while doing it. Operating entirely on revenue from game sales, rather than tax dollars, the Virginia Lottery generates more than $2.0 million per day for Virginia’s K-12 public schools. The Virginia Lottery also licenses and regulates casino gaming and mobile sports betting. The Virginia Lottery, an independent state agency, is currently seeking an On-Premise Sales Consultant to grow, sell and market lottery products to social establishment retailers in the areas of Winchester, Lexington, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, etc.
Requirements
- On-Premise sales experience preferred
- Consumer packaged goods(CPG) experience preferred
- Experience in and knowledge of implementing sales, marketing, and merchandising programs
- Inventory management
- In-field or route sales experience in consumer products
- Training
- Customer relations and development
- New product introduction
- Territory management
- Use of automated ordering devices or computers
- Willing to live within 50 miles of the geographic area’s business center
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous route sales & territory management experience
- Lottery experience is a plus
- A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications
Responsibilities
- Establishing and growing on-premise retailer network (restaurants, bars, taverns, etc.) through cold-calling and recruitment activities

- Scratcher ordering utilizing a tablet

- Merchandising
- Implementing and monitoring retailer incentive and promotional programs
