About The Position

ICF seeks an on-call Research Analyst to work within our Child and Family Well-Being (CFWB) Line of Business. This role partners works under the direction of the project manager in executing education research and evaluation projects. The Research Analyst will support all facets of research and evaluation to ensure rigorous, timely, and high-quality work, and support the overall success of our initiatives. Key Responsibilities As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for effectively supporting implementation of projects and maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Education, Public Policy, Social Science or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of education research and evaluation experience

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, sound decision‑making, and strong problem‑solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, including writing, interpersonal communication, and effective development and delivery of presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing project schedules and coordinating the work of team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and with strong methodological rigor.
  • Preparing compliance review worksheets and assessing evidence to determine adherence to government laws and policies using established criteria and professional judgment.
  • Developing clear project communications and coordinating logistics, including schedules and travel for onsite visits.
  • Leading and coordinating survey logistics, as well as developing and managing survey data workflows.
  • Overseeing procurement activities and managing vendor relationships.
  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative data to inform project deliverables.
  • Ensuring reports and other project deliverables meet high standards of quality.
  • Producing and maintaining project documentation and related communication materials.
  • Representing ICF at onsite client meetings and engagements.
