About The Position

Hospice of the West is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families. The On-Call RN will identify patient and family needs, coordinate care, and offer preventative measures and compassionate support. Requirements

• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting.
• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient's home and within agency and regulatory standards.
• Share knowledge and expertise to guide and support families in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
