About The Position
At Primrose, we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children. We are currently seeking an On Call Preschool Handyman to join our team. This part-time position is essential for maintaining the functionality and safety of our facilities, ensuring that our preschool environment remains welcoming and conducive to learning.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or handyman services.
- Availability to work part-time during the specified hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

- Experience working in educational or childcare facilities.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to building maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on school facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure a safe environment for staff and children.
- Perform regular inspections of the premises to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with school staff to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting the daily operations of the preschool.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
