About The Position

This position is located in Rutland, MA. This is an on-call position, picking up shifts as needed. Devereux Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be part of a team that maintains a safe and homelike environment for students. You will have previous experience with interior building maintenance and repair, and the ability to multi-task. Safely using power tools and lawn equipment is important. You work well alone or as part of a team and take pride in your work. You will possess skillsets including painting, carpentry, interview building repairs (ie. holes in walls, removing/replacing doors etc), basic plumbing, HVAC and electrical.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
MA License and Vehicle required
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to lift 70 lbs required
Must be able to attend a 2 day paid orientation, Monday and Tuesday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in interior building maintenance/repair strongly preferred.
