On-Call Maintenance Technicians
About The Position
We’re seeking a reliable and skilled On-Call Maintenance Service Technician to join our team for the Southfield and Troy areas. This position requires the technician to live on-site and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and after-hours service requests. You’ll handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general property upkeep, ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. Requirements
- 1+ years of technical, vocational or on the job maintenance experience
- 24/7 availability for emergency maintenance issues as part of an on-call rotation (2 weeks per month)
- Exemplary customer service ethic
- Emergency maintenance on call; after-hours weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures
- Must be able to work outdoors for periods of time in all seasons
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent, (required)
- Reliable and dependable attendance at the work site
- Pre-employment background check, drug screening and physicals are required before employment begins
Nice To Haves
- HVAC certified strongly preferred (Type II or Universal); Heating and cooling repairs/replacements
- college-level/trade school (strongly preferred)
Responsibilities
- Effectively handles maintenance service requests to the highest level of quality standards
- Prepares apartment units for occupancy - performing basic drywall, painting and rough carpentry
- Ensures the physical integrity and curb appeal of the communities we serve; reporting any potential liabilities or proposed property improvements
- Evaluates, troubleshoots and repairs plumbing and electrical systems, all major appliances, pool/spa equipment and HVAC equipment
