About The Position

Under general supervision of the Animal Control Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the Clatsop County Animal Shelter and ensure that dogs, cats and other animals housed at the shelter have clean and sanitary conditions. We are seeking qualified candidates for On-Call Kennel Workers to provide support on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for those who desire flexibility and are available to work variable hours, often on short notice.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Previous shelter experience
• Previous Janitorial experience.
• Animal Husbandry experience.
• Experience providing care for others (pet or person)

• Ensuring that dogs, cats and other animals housed at the shelter have clean and sanitary conditions
