About The Position

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. This position is On-Call, meaning there is no predetermined schedule or guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered as needed to cover call offs and vacations, and based on business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning strongly preferred.
Knowledge of infection control standards and cleaning procedures in a healthcare setting.
Ability to work independently and respond to on-call requests with short notice.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Proof of immunizations and/or willingness to receive required vaccinations (e.g., flu, MMR, Hepatitis B).
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other clinical and non-clinical spaces.
Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests, including biohazard spills and terminal cleaning.
Follow strict infection prevention and control protocols, including proper use of PPE and hospital-grade disinfectants.
Safely handle and dispose of medical and general waste.
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizers.
Document tasks completed and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure cleaning needs are met efficiently and respectfully.
