About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring dependable and experienced CNAs and Caregivers for an on-call/float position. This role is perfect for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and ready to provide coverage for client shifts when needed throughout Huntsville and surrounding areas. Interviews are conducted remotely via Zoom, and a same-day pay option is available after the first shift.

Requirements

• 2+ years of caregiving experience OR active CNA certification
• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel throughout Huntsville and surrounding areas
• Comfortable working in homes with pets
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and flexible
• Comfortable completing a background screening
• Must be available for the agreed schedule
• 8:00 AM–8:00 PM on-call schedule
• Candidates must be comfortable and experienced with personal care and mobility assistance, including: Wheelchair and Hoyer lift transfers, Gait belt and Barton chair use, Total/bedbound care, Catheter care, Other hands-on personal care needs
• Must be able to assist with mobility, lift over 50+ lbs., and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care in clients' homes
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance
• Follow client care plans and preferences
• Step in for open or short-notice assignments
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and office staff
• Adapt to different clients, homes, and care needs
