Stantec, is actively seeking on-call Environmental Science internship support for our Environmental Services team of scientists, engineers, planners and other environmental professionals in our Northern California business unit, in the Walnut Creek, CA office. As an on-call intern, you will be part of a team supporting various environmental compliance related work including stormwater, hazardous materials and waste, biological resources, and cultural resources. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-discipline environment and contribute to meaningful restoration, monitoring, and pre-construction projects in the water and energy industry.

  • Strong ethic and ability to work unsupervised
  • Willingness to learn and follow directions
  • Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Creative, resourceful, and detail-oriented
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • High School diploma.
  • Some college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support data collection efforts for various environmental-related projects
  • Data entry and some report preparation
  • Manage technical data and prepare tables and figures
  • Maintain field gear
