CDL Class A or B - On Call Driver - Flexible schedule required
About The Position
Strange Trip Inc. is hiring dependable and professional CDL Class A, B, or C on-call drivers to support our growing team. This is a great fit for Uber, Lyft, or other gig workers who want extra income and a steady, reliable company to call home. When called in to work, you'll run a dedicated local route departing around 4:00 – 5:00 AM from Piscataway, NJ. You'll be paid a fixed $50 weekly rate to remain on call, plus the regular route pay of $225 – $315 per day depending on the lane. Paid training with an experienced driver provided. The work involves touch freight - scanning, loading, and unloading boxes for final-mile and dedicated shipper customers. Customer expectations are high, so we're looking for drivers who are punctual, careful, and detail-oriented, and who take pride in doing the job right.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A, B, or C license
- Clean MVR and criminal background
- Prior truck-driving experience strongly preferred
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and punctuality
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and equipment care
- Flexibility to be on call
