About The Position

KTAR is seeking an On-Call Board Operator to operate the on-air studio console and ensure accurate broadcasts in compliance with FCC requirements. This is an onsite role at our Phoenix location, requiring weekday mornings and weekend shifts. Requirements

• 0-2 years news/talk/sports radio control room work.
• Consistent availability to work on Saturday or Sunday overnight (12a-7a) is required.
• Ability to drive company vehicles for remote broadcasts (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required).

Nice To Haves

• Zetta and Audio Vault experience preferred.
• Digital/website experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate the on-air studio console.
• Air commercials per program log.
• Screen listener calls for talk programs during shifts not utilizing a producer.
• Maintain accurate transmitter logs and program logs.
• Double check that audio elements are problem-free before they air.
• Cross-train on other shifts in the event of scheduling emergencies.
