About The Position

This role involves supporting banquet events by reviewing event orders, assisting with setup, ensuring food and beverage quality, serving guests, and communicating with the kitchen. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, has strong communication skills, a high work ethic, and can work effectively under pressure and with a team. The role also has physical requirements including prolonged sitting, occasional standing/walking, fine motor skills for computer use, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset

Responsibilities

• Review BEO's for menu details, room setup, food, beverage and audio visual needs.
• Assist the set up staff in table set up, buffet set up, bar set up, etc.
• Check quality and presentation of food before serving.
• Prepare and serve beverages for the function.
• Provide prompt and professional service to all guests.
• Communicate with Kitchen keeping update on any changes.
