About The Position

Midwest Communications is hiring a full-time on-air personality for 101.9 WDEZ, Central Wisconsin’s top-rated morning show. The role involves co-hosting the live weekday morning program and creating compelling content that connects with listeners on air and across digital platforms. The host will represent WDEZ in the community, build relationships with listeners and local sponsors, and collaborate with the team to strengthen and grow the station’s brand. Requirements

Be a natural communicator who can tell stories, entertain an audience, and make listeners feel included in the conversation.
Bring energy for an early-morning show starting at 6:00 AM.
Have an audio/video presence and an established social media influencer presence.
Have a genuine appreciation for Country music, Midwest culture, and the communities served.
Be driven to create radio content, grow an audience, strengthen the brand, and contribute to a team.
Enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas, and working with others.
Have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be able to pass a motor vehicle check and satisfactory background check.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of on-air broadcasting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Co-host WDEZ’s morning show live Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Bring energy, personality, preparation, and creativity to the show.
Extend the show’s personality across social media, digital platforms, and video content.
Represent WDEZ at station events, live broadcasts, and community appearances.
Build genuine relationships with listeners.
Work with local sponsors on endorsement opportunities and relationship-building.
Contribute fresh ideas and collaborate with the team to make WDEZ more engaging and memorable and to grow the brand.
