Omdia GTM Sales Specialist

Informa Group Plc.Newton, MA

About The Position

This role is based in our Newton, New York City or Washington, D.C. office. We’re looking for a Go-To-Market Sales Specialist to join our elite Black Belt (BBS) team. This role is designed for a strategic high-performer who wants to move beyond individual quota-carrying to drive a "Multiplier Effect" across the organization. You will pursue growth opportunities with B2B technology providers in portfolio enterprise tech markets including AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and networking. As a trusted advisor, you will not only manage your own book of business but also enable and empower the broader sales floor. You will act as a bridge between complex research/consulting products and the general sales teams, helping them navigate $8M+ targets by imparting deep institutional and market knowledge.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of sales experience or client management. Experience in a direct quota-carrying role is highly preferred.
  • Natural Curiosity: A proven track record of "strong discovery"—the ability to ask the right questions and challenge client thinking.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives.
  • Institutional Knowledge: Ability to hit the ground running by quickly mastering Informa TechTarget’s offerings and imparting that knowledge to others.
  • Mindset: Goal and action-oriented, with a desire for a "change of pace" from traditional sales into a high-level advisory and enablement role.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Discovery: Act as the "heartbeat" of the team by using natural curiosity to uncover deep-seated client challenges and business drivers.
  • The Multiplier Effect: Work across several sales representatives to enable their success, effectively scaling your expertise to drive revenue far beyond an individual target.
  • Account Penetration: Create and orchestrate strategies to anticipate client needs and provide high-value business insights.
  • Situational Leadership: Operate within a team culture that prioritizes leadership development, preparing you for future people management roles within or outside of the BBS team.
  • Portfolio Mastery: Learn and sell a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, and marketing services to senior-level functions.

Benefits

  • Great community: a welcoming culture with in-person and online social events, our fantastic Walk the World charity day and active colleague groups and networks promoting a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment
  • Broader impact: take up to four days per year to volunteer with a philanthropic organization
  • Career opportunity: the opportunity to develop your career with bespoke training and learning, mentoring platforms and on-demand access to thousands of courses on LinkedIn Learning. When it’s time for the next step, we encourage and support internal job moves
  • Time out: Open Vacation, plus 10 national holidays, and the chance to work from (almost!) anywhere for up to four weeks a year
  • Competitive benefits, including a 401k match, health, vision and dental insurance, parental leave and an ESPP offering company shares at a minimum 15% discount
  • Strong wellbeing support through EAP assistance, mental health first aiders, free access to a wellness app and more
  • Recognition for great work, with global awards and kudos programs
  • As an international company, the chance to collaborate with teams around the world
