About The Position

The OM&U North America Operations Leader reports to the Services OM&U Global Operations Director and supports the North America (NAM) Region Leader by driving operational excellence and efficiency within the NAM OM&U team. This role involves performing site team performance reviews, developing and advising on effective staffing strategies, developing/deploying improvement programs, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to support our strategic priorities. Must be well versed in taking large volumes of raw data and building reporting and tracking mechanisms. This role will work to improve the team’s ability to achieve safety, service, quality and timeliness objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of leadership, influencing, analytical, execution, and strategic thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field services leadership role)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical field services
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations and/or business experience related to driving business operational objectives
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time within the NAM region
  • Ability to and maintain a valid driver's license and willingness to submit to a check of driving record

Responsibilities

  • Support Services obligations and activities, field operational and performance targets related to wind turbine electrical and mechanical equipment and BOP.
  • Support implementation of safety processes and procedures that ensure a Zero Harm environment.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, lean kaizens, and implement productivity programs.
  • Facilitate new manager training and orientation and execute new site start up activities.
  • Drive standardization of Services operations across sites through genbas and problem-solving reports.
  • Train and mentor field execution staff to ensure they are meeting or exceeding business expectations.
  • Drive execution including tracking and improving key maintenance metrics (on-time completion, quality, etc.)
  • Lead regular operations reviews with Service Directors & Hub Leaders in the region and conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders (parts, engineering, etc.) to ensure fleet is operating to maximum potential.
  • Develop and execute operational KPI recovery and improvement plans.
  • Lead development & deployment of operational improvement programs (i.e. Salesforce, Services Ops. Playbooks)
