About The Position

The assistant is responsible for assisting in the organization and implementation of a successful program. This role involves promoting athlete participation in sports and activities, planning and conducting practice sessions, instructing athletes on rules and strategies, and preparing them for competition. The coach will also assist in fundraising, ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations, and foster a positive and cooperative environment among students, parents, and staff.

Requirements

Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of a program
Cleared background investigation
Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
Positive public relations skills

Nice To Haves

Strongly encouraged to complete a coaching principles courses
Complete a First Aid Course with CPR component

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating development and promotion of the program
Promotes all athletes to participate in sports and activities throughout the school year.
Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions
Adjust coaching techniques, based on the ability of athletes
Assist in arranging and conducting program-specific activities, such as summer training, skills-improvement sessions, and pre-season try-outs.
Instruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principles
Provide training, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competition
Assist in generating additional funds for support of the program through approved fundraisers.
Carefully operate under state/league/school rules and regulations.
Understand rules and regulations and is in compliance with High school activities
Discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.
Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
