About The Position

The Office of Juvenile Services (OJS) is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Technician to support critical compliance operations within the Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate records, supporting investigations, and ensuring the integrity of information that impacts youth services across the state.

Requirements

  • Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be age 21 to work with youth located at YRTC.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and data system entry specific to client record systems.
  • Experience and the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, navigate complex instructions, and process large amounts of information.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules meetings or appointments; orders supplies, equipment, or publications to maintain office inventory.
  • Perform word processing functions: types/transcribes, composes routine correspondence, formats, proofreads, and edits letters, reports, forms, or other materials from rough draft, corrected copy, or voice recording onto storage media.
  • Records meeting minutes, performs transcriptions/dictations.
  • Operates data entry devices to transcribe data from source documents or records into the data system or computer storage.
  • Verifies accuracy of data entry by others, sorts and batches forms, documents, and other records to be entered.
  • Listen to, transcribe, and report the youth phone calling system during active investigations.
  • Collects and disseminates information pertinent to the activities of the immediate supervisor to provide requested responses and data in response to written inquiries and requests for information.
  • Sorts, files, and retrieves correspondence, records, reports, and other items to assist in preparing reports for legal requests and to ensure uniform storage of and ready access to information.
  • Completes weekly timekeeping through the Kronos system for the Compliance team.
  • Monitors and assists with data entry across systems within Compliance.
