The Campus Management Section (CMS) plays a critical role in keeping Department Facilities operating safe for staff and visitors, as it oversees the maintenance for over 250 Department Facilities Citywide. CMS manages multiple facility renovations that support Department initiatives and unit relocations. CMS is comprised of uniform, civilian trades, professional and administrative staff. The candidate selected to fill the role of Oiler will assist in the operations and maintenance of the operation and repair of facility equipment such as boilers, furnaces, refuse incinerators, pumps, fans, engines, turbines, generators, electrical and heating and ventilating equipment, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The Oiler will also lubricate and clean pumps, engines, blowers, compressors, motors, gears and ejectors.
