About The Position

Safely operate a CDL fuel and lube service truck to perform equipment servicing at job sites. This role involves refueling, greasing, and topping off fluids on earthmoving and heavy construction equipment. The position also includes performing routine fluid inspections and preventative maintenance tasks, conducting and logging pre- and post-trip inspections on the service truck per DOT regulations, and maintaining accurate fuel/lube usage logs and service records. The driver will also be responsible for safely loading/unloading parts, fluids, and other materials, identifying and reporting fluid leaks or abnormal machine conditions, and communicating effectively with operations, shop personnel, and purchasing teams. Compliance with the company Health & Safety Program, OSHA regulations, and DOT standards is essential. This role requires travel between jobsites throughout the Southwest region.

Requirements

  • Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (required)
  • Acceptable driving record with no violations or accidents in the last 3 years
  • Must pass DOT drug screen and MVR check
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor, physically demanding environments
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, safety-focused mindset
  • Willingness to work varying hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience working around Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with diesel fuel systems, grease points, and fluid service intervals
  • Understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements for vehicle and equipment operations
