About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring full-time crew members and lube technicians. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided to teach team members to change oil, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires with air, and perform other light maintenance services. The role is suited to people who are willing to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude to the shop. Take 5 offers opportunities for advancement, with more than 90% of Shop Managers having started as lube technicians. Compensation is up to $15 per hour through base pay and commissions, with weekly bonuses also mentioned. Full-time and flexible schedules are available.

Requirements

• No experience required; willingness to learn, work hard, and bring a positive attitude.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to safely position under cars.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Must be over 18 years of age, except applicants over 16 may qualify in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil and change oil filters.
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off fluids.
• Perform coolant exchanges.
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
