About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking customer-focused and driven individuals to join their team as Assistant Shop Managers. This role offers paid training, opportunities for rapid advancement, and the chance to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. The company emphasizes a 'Pit Tech to President' growth path, with a high percentage of field leaders being internal promotions. No prior experience is required, as the company provides comprehensive training on all aspects of shop management and light automotive services. Successful candidates will be willing to learn, work hard, and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
Nice To Haves
- Experience is VALUED but not required
- Experience as servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, landscapers, and other skilled trade workers is transferable
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
- Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager’s absence
- Run the floor (making sure each employee is where they need to be, ensuring everything has been checked on each vehicle, and every customer is satisfied before they leave)
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
- Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
- Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness
