About The Position

Immediately hiring! Do you enjoy hands-on automotive work and want to build your skills working on box trucks and cargo vans? If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and interested in growing your career while supporting vehicles customers depend on, join the Avis Budget Group team supporting Budget Truck operations. This role is a great opportunity to gain experience working on a fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands while building a strong foundation in automotive and truck maintenance.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Nice To Haves

• 6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on our fleet of box trucks and cargo vans.
• Perform oil and fluid services.
• Perform tire repairs and rotations.
• Complete all tasks in a safe and quality-focused manner.
• Assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as skills develop (depending on experience).
• Drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational needs (may be required).
