About The Position

As a Weld Manufacturing Engineer for JD Ottumwa Works based in Ottumwa, IA, you will support the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP). You will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. You will operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process.

Requirements

• Background in Engineering (mechanical, welding, industrial)
• Knowledge of manufacturing and or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities
• Expertise with engineering tools, systems, and databases

Nice To Haves

• Experience with robotic weld systems (Fanuc)
• Strong familiarity with engineering tools, systems, and databases
• Project management and business planning expertise
• Understanding of line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance, and management tools
• Manufacturing engineering expertise and supporting weld and assembly processes, quality, tooling, tool design, PLCs, robotic systems, facilities
