About The Position

The Offsite Production Manager reports to the Offsite Supervisor and provides leadership to all sites within the Offsite system. Primary responsibilities include coordination and oversight of all activities for all Offsite farms to support and ensure individual Managers are fulfilling their positions. This role involves communication and promotion of Holden Farm’s core values and goals, leadership through strong communication, proactive prioritization, and effective delegation. The manager will collaborate with Sow Farm Supervisors and other Management team members to achieve Offsite farm and company goals, uphold biosecurity programs, and perform planning, goal-setting, and scheduling for all Offsite sow farms. Responsibilities also include interviewing and assisting in finding new talent, participating in onboarding and leading new hire training, administering employee performance evaluations, encouraging employee development, implementing new ideas and changes, and updating/maintaining accurate farm records and reports.

Requirements

3 years of experience in management of 5 or more employees.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to have difficult conversations and achieve desired results.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead others in high-demand situations.
Strong interest in working with animals with a desire to learn and self-develop.
Strong interest in team building and staff development.
Organized with strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and hard-working.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree in Management a plus.
Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish preferred.
No previous experience working with pigs required, training will be provided.

Responsibilities
