About The Position

As an Offshore Technician, you’ll work with our team to maintain and repair offshore wind turbines. Your efforts ensure that clean energy continues to power communities, contributing to a more sustainable future. This role is ideal for individuals interested in marine environments, overcoming challenges, and contributing to renewable energy.

Requirements

  • Experienced wind technician with at least 3 years in wind energy (Vestas V163 preferred) or 2 years in offshore wind; adept at interpreting schematics and developing procedures for complex systems.
  • Technically skilled in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with demonstrated use of diagnostic tools and the ability to train others in their use.
  • Safety-focused and resilient, with deep knowledge of offshore safety protocols, energy isolation, and risk mitigation; willing to obtain or maintain GWO Offshore Safety Training certification.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable, thriving in close-knit, high-performance teams during extended offshore deployments aboard SOVs in dynamic weather and sea conditions.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport, and physically fit to meet the demands of offshore work, including working at heights and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on offshore wind turbines, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; use specialized tools (e.g., fluke meters, hydraulic gauges) and train others in their application.
  • Ensure safe and compliant operation of offshore equipment, strictly following safety and environmental regulations while modeling best practices in energy isolation and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to optimize turbine performance, interpret technical drawings and schematics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Live and work aboard a Service Operations Vessel (SOV) for up to two weeks at a time, performing duties in challenging offshore environments and varying sea conditions.
