About The Position

The Offloader works in an onsite warehouse for Werner Final Mile, supporting white-glove delivery for Bob’s Discount Furniture. This physical warehouse role involves unloading tractor-trailer loads of furniture and staging items for delivery. The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a five-day workweek. The listed pay is $17.00 per hour. The role also includes assembling items according to manufacturer directions, assisting delivery teams with customer-requested placement, and following delivery processes. Employees must use equipment safely, maintain a clean workspace, report damage and customer satisfaction issues to management, and interact professionally with coworkers, customers, and supervisors. Regular, prompt attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are required. Applicants must successfully complete pre-employment testing, a background check, drug screening, and a physical exam. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school graduate or equivalent experience.
At least one year of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, furniture or appliance delivery, or work with a moving company.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other operational or client systems.
Able to perform the essential functions of the job, including the stated physical requirements.
Able to speak English, communicate with coworkers, and read assembly instructions.
Able to learn to assemble standard wooden dining room chairs.
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing, a background check, drug screening, and a physical exam.

Responsibilities

Unload tractor-trailer loads of furniture and stage items for delivery.
Assemble items according to manufacturer directions and meet the daily assembly output provided by management.
Immediately report defects or damage to parts to management.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and properly dispose of waste from the assembly process.
Interact professionally and effectively with Drive Teams.
Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of team members.
Follow delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Assist the Delivery Driver with placing delivery items as specified by the customer.
Report customer satisfaction issues to management.
Communicate effectively and work well with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.
