About The Position

We’re looking for an exceptional teammate to shape how people discover and experience Open in the real world. You’ll grow our in-person community through events, pop-ups, activations, and partnerships, creating unforgettable experiences with a natural instinct for hospitality and the details that set us apart. You’ll build scalable programs across markets, use performance data to improve what comes next, and work closely with our CEO and Growth team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role based in Venice and on the ground wherever Open shows up.

Requirements

3+ years in events, experiential or field marketing, or community building: ideally in wellness, hospitality, retail, or lifestyle
Design playbooks, media packages, target audience plans, and local adaptation tactics
A track record of producing in-person experiences, on time and on budget
Strong local network across LA’s wellness, creative, and business communities
Calm, resourceful, and hands-on happy to plan the strategy and haul the speakers
Highly organized, with a strong eye for detail and for the guest experience
Clear sense how Open should look, sound, and feel in person
Genuine interest in mindfulness, music, movement and shared experiences
Establish replicable systems for planning and operating events at scale
Turn partnerships into clear internal narratives: develop the pitch, rationale, opportunity, scope, and why it matters so leadership and cross-functional teams can quickly understand and buy into the idea. Madewell uses a version of this in its partnerships role.

Responsibilities

Own Open’s offline growth across Los Angeles, NYC, London, Miami, and new markets, creating unforgettable experiences while building playbooks that make them scalable
Act as a tastemaker for Open, bringing a sharp point of view on culture, brands, talent, hospitality, wellness, and where we should show up next
Own the partnership pipeline end to end, from prospecting and pitching through negotiation, contracting, activation, and renewal
Build and maintain Open’s ecosystem of brand, creator, community, venue, hospitality, and cultural partners, turning high-fit relationships into meaningful collaborations and long-term growth opportunities
Create and produce community classes, pop-ups, takeovers, off-site experiences, and brand activations that feel distinctly Open
Be Open’s eyes and ears on the ground, staying close to what is happening locally and turning cultural and community insights into programming, partnerships, and new opportunities
Develop grassroots growth programs across street teams, sampling, flyering, ambassadors, and other creative ways to drive awareness, visits, and membership
Own activation execution across production, vendors, staffing, budgets, and guest experience, with a clear path from first interaction to Open membership
Use performance data and market learnings to improve execution, identify what scales, and shape future programming
