About The Position

Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients. The eFX platform, also known as Mach, is a realtime algorithmic trading platform that provides streaming prices to clients, accepts trade executions from clients and manages the automated hedging of the risk generated. It is a globally distributed system currently deployed into data centers in London, New York and Tokyo.

Responsibilities

• Use your software engineering, technical skill, and reasoning abilities
• Develop high volume transactional systems
• Work in coordination with other teams, both business and technical
• Work closely with business users and Development, Quality Assurance, and Infrastructure teams
• Design highly available distributed systems by leveraging your experience in Java programming and design
• Receive and analyze requirements and propose suitable solutions that adhere to the team's methodology
• Deliver successfully within an Agile environment as well as demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability to operate successfully in such an environment
• Communicate with all parties involved including senior management, developers, architects, and end users, who may be based in different locations and time zones
• Take ownership of small to medium projects and run them from inception to completion
